Privacy policy

This English version is provided for convenience. The French version, Politique de confidentialité, prevails.

This policy describes what Metiva does with the personal data you give it through this site. In short: the site collects only what you enter in the contact form (and, like any site, the technical logs of its host), uses no cookies and no audience measurement tool, and does not keep your messages beyond the periods stated below.

Data controller

Metiva, a French SASU based in Poligny (Jura), represented by Sébastien Chevassus (full details in the legal notice). Contact: contact@metiva.fr.

Data collected

Only what you enter in the contact form: full name, company (optional), e-mail address, phone (optional), need and message. No other data is collected without your knowledge while you browse, apart from the host's technical logs described below.

Purpose and legal basis

To reply to your request and, if you wish, to prepare a first conversation. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box in the form, and Metiva's legitimate interest in replying to the requests addressed to it.

Recipient

Metiva alone. Your message is sent by e-mail to contact@metiva.fr from the site's hosting (OVH, France). It is not passed on to any third party and is not used for any automated marketing.

Retention

The data is not stored on the site: it only passes through e-mail. It is kept in Metiva's mailbox for 6 months if your request leads nowhere, and for 3 years after our last exchange if an exchange begins. If a business relationship begins, the data needed for the contract is kept in line with the applicable legal obligations (contract term plus 5 years, accounting records 10 years).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to your data, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Just write to contact@metiva.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Cookies and audience measurement

The site sets no cookies and uses no third-party audience measurement tool. No consent banner is therefore needed. The contact form has a protection against robots that relies neither on a cookie nor on an external service.

Host logs

Like any host, OVH records in technical logs the IP address, the date and the page viewed for each visit, to ensure the security of the service and meet its legal obligations. These logs are kept for 12 months at most.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The form fields are checked and cleaned before sending. The sender's IP address is never stored in clear text: only a temporary fingerprint is used to limit the number of submissions per hour.
